For Dr. Chris, going into the dental field was a natural choice since he frequently visited his dad's practice as a child. As he got older, he worked there during school holidays and summer, learning different aspects of dentistry — front office, lab work and dental assisting. Dr. Chris attended Pacific Union College for his undergraduate studies in natural science. His desire to become a dentist led him to Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2007. Following graduation, he moved home to Fresno and began practicing with his father, Dr. Robert Apuy.

His love for dentistry led him to continue learning more about his profession. Dr. Chris has enrolled in over 300 hours of continuing education. He took I.V. Sedation course work from the University of Southern California and also trained in implant dentistry in San Francisco. He also completed a five week course with the Mercer group and a full mouth reconstruction course with the Dick Barnes Group. He continues to actively learn the latest in the dental field.

Dr. Chris is a board certified dentist and has his permit for Intravenous Sedation. He stays up-to-date with the latest in the dental field by maintaining memberships in the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Fresno-Madera Dental Society.

In his leisure time, Dr. Chris loves being outdoors. He has been an avid fisherman since he was a young child - always looked for bigger fish to catch. He also loves camping, hiking, biking, and running. Dr. Chris is married to Crystal, who is one of the office
